Mattie's surfing lessons in our pool continue. I think Bubba secretly hopes he can get her ready to paddle out before hurricane season passes.

Mattie loves her cherry boots. She has a song called "I love my boots". Well, it came on and she ran to get her boots and asked me to start it over. So, of course, I grabbed the camera.

Mattie meets the Fairy Godmother at the Magic Kingdom.

Doesn't that smile just brighten your day?

Every morning Mattie asks to hold Teag. He's been getting so big that lately I have been sitting him next to her in her chair. As you can see from his face, he likes his time with his sister.

"I love you Teag. I love you too Mattie!

There is nothing like a hug from your sister!

Teag is getting so good with his hands. Here he is playing with his rattle. (Sorry, I guess you can't upload vertical video clips)

Mattie wanted to take her baby into the pool since we took Teag. We bought some pool hoops the other day, the kind that sink to the bottom so you can swim through them. She loves them! She pretends to be a mermaid and dives down to swim through them.

The proud daddy and his water babies! Teag really seems to enjoy the water. We know Mattie does! She really does amazes me how comfortable and skilled she is in the water.

Teag is 5 months old today! (By his corrected age, he is 2 months today!) He is doing things appropriate for a 2 month old. I don't think about the age adjustment too much, however, Teag has a cousin, Braxton, who was born full term only 1 month after Teag. So while in reality Teag is one month older than Braxton, he technically is 2 months behind. And it is when we get together with them that I notice the developmental and physical delay. Not that it bothers me, it's just interesting to be able to see the difference between the two cousins. For instance, the pictures on Kim's (Braxton's mom) blog show him in the exersaucer or rolling over and Teag is just starting to master head control. We are so blessed though. With all the possible problems he could have had being born 13 weeks early....WOW! I thank God EVERY Day.

Teag smiles all the time now, often with a sort of half chuckle. We caught a big smile on video yesterday. Most mornings he greets us with heart warming, gummy smiles. And don't you just love those cheeks!

Mattie loves to sing to Teag. Here she is singing "You Are My Sunshine". She started singing it without being prompted. She was just lying next to him after some "tummy time" and began to sing.

We spent Fourth of July weekend in Lakeland with family and friends. Mattie saw fireworks three nights in a row. She liked them. She said they were pretty but loud.

Mattie was all decked out in red, white and blue for the celebration.

Teag was all smiles for his first Independence Day.

Rick and Aya help Mattie use sparklers for the first time.

Mattie and her cousin Mason enjoy the Belgian waffles Nonna made them.

Mattie the builder-- She can fix it!

We have been getting quite a bit of rain lately. Here is some video of Mattie enjoying the puddles.

"Look at my smile!! I am over ten pounds now."
We took Teag to the pediatrician today, 10 lbs. 2 oz., 20 1/2 inches and his iron levels were good. The doctor said he looked like a little sumo wrestler he was so chubby. Isn't that great to hear?

Some pool photos!

We had Teag in the pool the other day. He seemed to like it. He'll need to learn to swim early to keep up with Mattie.

When my sister Kat was here she brought her puppy Cami with her. Mattie had a great time playing with Cami. At one point Mattie wanted to try to get Cami to go into her crate. Listen to Kat in the video. You'll hear her telling Mattie she needs a trick to get Cami to go into the crate. Wait until you see what Mattie does. We couldn't stop laughing.
