Mattie and Teag were knights fighting the bad Daddy knight. (thanks for wigs Bachi)

The other day Mattie came out with Bubba's jersey on and then went to the garage to get a pair of his shoes and can back saying" look at me, I'm just like Daddy."

I was vacuuming the floor and Teag went into the laundry room on his on and came back with the broom to help me clean the floor. What a good helper!

Since it was cold, well Florida cold, we roasted marshmallow.

"Oh, did you want some marshmallow...too bad."

Even with marshmallow on her face she's beautiful.

We went to the circus with my friend Karina and her son Brooks.

The kids couldn't keep eyes off all the exciting entertainment.

Mattie and Brooks got to ride a camel...

...and a pony!

Can you see the excitement in their eyes? (okay, they were getting a bit tired by now, but they did enjoy seeing the man get shot out of a cannon)

Some great video of the kids dancing at Kat's wedding. I wish we had some more. Teag was a dancing machine!

September 26th was Kat and Craig's wedding. Here are some photos from the rehearsal.

Mattie was the flower girl and Alex, her cousin, was the ring bearer.

Teag just walked around with the new dog his daddy bought him.

Bubba convinced the guys in the wedding party to grow mustaches for the wedding, without Kat knowing of course. So the guys showed up at the rehearsal with unexpected facial hair. Bubba and Craig sporting their 'staches. Yes, they do both look much more handsome without them.

My brother Brian and his kids, McKenzie and Alex.

Mattie and Alex.

Teag and Kenzie.

Kat gave Mattie a beautiful pearl necklace and bracelet.

"Uncle Guido", as he came to be called the rest of the night, and my cousin Jennifer and my Aunt Judy.

Kenzie, Brian, Aunt Judy and my brother Adam.

Kelly and Colleen.

Some cute pictures
of Teag from
September.
A morning at the beach with cousin Mason.

Teag, at 19 months, making his way to the beach.

Mattie's birthday party

Mattie turned 4 on September 15th. We got her a body board and then of course, went to the beach so she could use it. She loved it! She was not the least bit afraid of getting in the ocean and "surfing" by herself.

Trip to the puppet theater

Back in early September we went to see "Jack and the beanstalk" at a puppet theater. The kids love seeing the marionettes on the puppet stage.

Usually when the kids take a bubble bath, Mattie puts bubbles on Teag when he's playing. Last night, with Mattie's back turned, Teag struck first....

Our friends, the Haddens, were visiting from Tallahassee and they took Bubba and Mattie out fishing. Mattie caught a catfish.

A photographer took these pictures of Bubba surfing yesterday. They were posted on a local surf website.

The other day I needed to mow the lawn and Bubba was out with Mattie having some Daddy and Mattie time. Teag rode along on my back while I mowed, complete with a sun hat and hearing protection. As you can tell the head phones work pretty well.

Teag and Mattie were playing with silk flowers. My little flower children!

Mattie was pretending to surf and then Teag joins in for the wipe out.

Teag is just such a blessing. When I look at him it's hard to imagine that he was so small and had such a rough start. He is so healthy and happy. Since his evaluation 8 months ago he still shows no signs of developmental delay or gross-motor difficulties. He is saying several words and signing others. He is making appropriate sounds when we show him pictures of different animals or when he sees them. His favorite is bird for which he points to the sky and says " Caw, caw" every time a bird flies by. He is truly our little miracle.
Here he is coloring.

Teag learns so much such from watching Mattie, I know, it's a bit scary. He loves to brush his teeth but he wants to do it like Mattie so they will both stand on the step stool in the bathroom and look in the mirror at each other brushing their teeth. She is also helping to perfect his running and climbing abilities. Here is some video of him playing the kazoo. Mattie was playing it and Teag just picked it up and without anyone showing him anything, he was jamming on the kazoo in a few short moments.

We recently took a trip to the Brevard Zoo.

Teag enjoyed being able to walk in his new doggie shoes Mattie selected for him.

Mattie was being a great and protective big sister making sure Teag did not stick his hand through the fence to try to touch the emu.

Bubba helped Teag feed the lorikeets some nectar.

The lorikeets couldn't decided which was sweeter, Mattie or the nectar.

Teag was fascinated by the beautiful and friendly birds.
Next it was time to feed the cockatiels.

Bubba had to pay attention so that Teag did not try to eat the bird seed.

The birds really liked Mattie.

Teag liked the fence.

Then it was over to feed the giraffes. Bubba helped Teag give the giraffe the first cracker, especially since we were unsure of how he would react. He LOVED it! He reached for the second cracker and gave it to the giraffe all by himself!

After giving the animals lunch it was time to cool off...

...and play sea turtles in the sand.

It was a great day for everyone!
